Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP)
Formed in 2011, LEPs are voluntary partnerships between Local Authorities and businesses. The role of Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership has grown and strengthened continuously since its inception in January 2011. CW LEP is now the guiding force that ensures all private and public sector parties in the region are working together with a common, shared purpose – to make a difference to the economy and increase prosperity.
As part of his role in the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Transport Group, David is the Private Sector Lead for the Local Transport Body that has been selected to deliver the Transport Strategy to accompany the Growth Plan for the area. David is instrumental in delivering the LEP Transport Group’s objectives to:
- Assist in the process for agreeing the governance arrangements for the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Transport Body
- Co-ordinate and input to the technical work required to inform the Local Transport Body regarding the potential pool of priority Major Transport Schemes for delivery in 2015-19
- Continue to identify opportunities to secure funding to deliver the current short-term LEP transport priorities and developing transport connectivity, as agreed by the LEP Board in March 2012.
