DTA has experience of developing transport strategies for a diverse range of development proposals from port expansion, large and small employment developments to brand new communities. Our skills base includes junction modelling, traffic forecasting, car parking studies, junction design, highway design and traffic signing schemes, design and evaluation of pedestrian and cycle routes and facilities.
We work effectively as part of wider development teams to enable effective and sustainable transport to be integrated into evolving master plans. Proposed New Community - Mereham: DTA developed a strategy which included a multi-modal interchange incorporating a park and ride site at the new settlement; public transport priority measures including a dedicated crossing of the A14 for buses, cyclists and pedestrians; a 'green-grid' of cycle/pedestrian routes through the Community; low car development supported by parking restraint and car clubs.
