The expansion will allow luxury car maker Aston Martin to introduce a new range of vehicles involving an evolutionary assembly platform. David Tucker Associates was asked to provide an impact study to demonstrate that the additional floor space wouldn’t give rise to greater impact at Junction 12 of the M40. Already known as a problem junction at shift change times, Junction 12 had been highlighted for proposed improvements by Warwickshire County Council. But with the junction’s upgrade planned for the future, WCC and the Highways Agency required DTA to demonstrate that the Gaydon site’s imminent extension wouldn’t give rise to an unacceptable impact. DTA produced a Travel Plan as well as a Transport Statement to demonstrate that car parking would not be adversely affected by any additional movement.
